What to know before specifying it
Grade 5 delivers steel-level strength at 56% of steel's density with outstanding corrosion resistance - and costs accordingly. Its thermal conductivity is startlingly low (a seventh of steel's), which concentrates machining heat at the tool: the reason titanium has a reputation for being hard to cut.
