All dimensional data follows the published standard for that subject: ISO 261 and ISO 898-1 for
metric threads, ISO 15 for bearing boundary dimensions, ISO 281 for bearing life, ISO 286 for
tolerances and fits, BS 1806 for O-rings, and ASME B36.10 for pipe schedules. Where a value is a
conversion rather than a standard, it is exact arithmetic - one inch is exactly 25.4 mm by the 1959
international agreement, so nothing on these pages is rounded except where a table says so.

Unit conversion
Which one do you need?
If you are identifying a part you already have, start with a finder rather than a chart: the
bearing size finder takes a bore, outside diameter or
width, and the O-ring size finder takes a BS number or an
inside diameter. If you are specifying a new part, the charts are faster - they show the neighbouring
sizes at the same time, which is usually what you actually want to see.
